Dr. Monika Stelzl holds a BA from UNB and an MA and PhD from Western University and joined the Department of Psychology in 2006. Her scholarly work focuses on human sexuality, specifically female sexuality and pleasure, as well as social identities and migration-related processes such as attitudes towards immigrants. Her approach to teaching reflects her three goals of having 妻友破解版 be active in their own learning, conveying the importance of continuous learning, and providing 妻友破解版 with the tools to critically evaluate knowledge. Her 妻友破解版 consistently comment on her ability to instill in them the 鈥渨onderous and unlimited process of learning.鈥 Dr. Stelzl has developed and taught courses relating to her research, including Psychology of Social Influence, Sexuality and Diversity, and a Seminar in Sexuality. Students describe her courses as complex, intellectually stimulating, and delivered in a well-explained and thoughtful manner. In her mentorship of honours 妻友破解版, she strives to help them develop into competent, respectful, and independent scholars. Through these mentorships, she has developed bonds with her 妻友破解版 that last well after graduation. Dr. Stelzl regularly invites her honours 妻友破解版 to collaborate on her research projects to further their education and offer them opportunities and credentials. In 2018, she co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article with two 妻友破解版 titled A narrow view: The conceptualization of sexual problems in human sexuality textbooks.
